MIT Skoltech Program Issues Call for Seed Fund Proposals, for the Period 2018 – 2019

The MIT Skoltech Seed Fund Program is pleased to announce its third-round call for proposals. Proposals will be accepted from MIT Principal Investigators from any school, department, laboratory, or center. The Program seeks innovative projects that have the potential to benefit either the development of Skoltech or the mission of the Skolkovo Foundation. The call especially encourages proposals that promote experimental or applied research at Skoltech or other Russian institutions, as well as renewal applications to allow for the completion of research projects that were funded in the first round of the program. The MIT Skoltech Seed Fund will award grants in amount up to US$ 75,000, for one year. The call is open now through January 26, 2018.

MIT Skoltech Announced Awardees for the Second Round of NGP Grants

The MIT Skoltech collaboration has awarded four joint projects in the second round of Next Generation Program grants. The annual budget of each project will be up to 12.5 million rubles for the Skoltech portion and $130K (total costs) for the MIT one. The MIT Skoltech Next Generation Program (NGP) covers the whole range of academic and institution development activities. NGP seeks to establish and promote a mutually beneficial long-term bilateral collaboration in research, education and innovation between Skoltech faculty members and their MIT counterparts through the research-driven projects.

MIT Skoltech Announced Winners for the Second Round of Seed Fund Proposals

The MIT Skoltech Seed Fund has awarded in excess of $800,000 in second-year Seed Grant Funding to 11 projects for 1 year. The grants are awarded to 11 researchers from 9 MIT Departments and Programs representing 3 schools. The call for proposals by the MIT Skoltech Seed Fund welcomed submissions for innovative projects that have the potential to benefit the development of Skoltech or the mission of the Skolkovo Foundation. Skoltech – MIT Joint Project “Next Generation” Announced 2nd Call for Proposals

The MIT Skoltech Joint Project “Next Generation Program” (NGP) has issued a 2nd Call for Proposals, and expects to award 2 or 3 new joint projects for up to 18 months. The joint NGP project represents one of the new formats of Skoltech-MIT collaboration and covers a broad range of academic and institution development activities. NGP seeks to establish and promote a mutually beneficial long-term bilateral collaboration in research, education and innovation between Skoltech faculty members and their MIT counterparts through the research-driven projects, as well as further development of Skoltech work streams within its development programs.

The Program seeks innovative projects that have the potential to benefit either the development of Skoltech or the mission of the Skolkovo Foundation. The MIT Skoltech Seed Fund will award grants in amount up to US$ 75,000, for one year. The call is open now through July 28, 2017.
